J. W. Bell

J.W. Bell worked as a roughneck (chain hand, motorman), derrick hand, and driller in the Oklahoma oilfields. He was a combat arms officer in the US Army for ten years as a Field Artillery Officer. An expert with a 45, 9mm, and an M16, he had hands on experience with 105mm howitzer and several 155mm artillery pieces. He worked with all the combat arms from the platoon through the division. During that time, he worked with the Marines, the Air Force, and the Navy with Naval gunfire, and close air support. He was a negotiator for a Memorandum of War between the US Army and the Republic of Korea ‘s army. In civilian life, he taught music and has a lifetime teaching license to teach Music and Drama. He’s been writing for decades and has won multiple awards. Most of his works are military thrillers along the lines of Tom Clancy, mixing his firsthand military experience with espionage and political twists. He has three Thrillers out and one more ready to publish soon. He has one non-fiction book outlining his metaphysical view of the universe.
