Yongxin Li

Yongxin Li, M.D., Ph.D., is a self-taught tai chi expert who has practiced tai chi and qigong for more than five decades. In 2016, he invented the simplest tai chi in the world, and in 2023, he developed the world’s first 3D tai chi. He is the author of eight books on tai chi and qigong and a medical memoir.

He earned his Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1991. He is an internal medicine physician who has practiced in the United States since the 1990s. Drawing on his background in Chinese culture and history, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), scientific research, and clinical practice, he brings a unique perspective to tai chi and qigong, has created the scientific E Tai Chi system, and provides scientific analysis of these mind-body exercises.
