Dr. Christine Sauer is a retired German-trained physician, educator, writer, and integrative brain health and lifestyle medicine educator. Her work explores emotional recovery, brain health, resilience, meaning, weight loss, and the deeper work of becoming fully human again after life has become heavy, foggy, or overwhelming.
Christine’s perspective is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. She has worked in medicine, mental health education, wellness coaching, teaching, writing, and online education. She has also personally navigated obesity, severe depression, anxiety, chronic pain, immigration, career loss, recovery, and rebuilding a meaningful life after major change.
After losing and maintaining a 150-pound weight loss since 2005, Christine expanded her education in nutrition, gastrointestinal health, supplements, neuroscience, coaching, brain health, stress regulation, and emotional wellness. Her training includes work with Dr. Daniel Amen’s brain health education, Havening Techniques®, integrative nutrition, Neuroencoding, and related mind-body and lifestyle approaches.
Christine is known for combining clear education, lived compassion, practical tools, and a warm sense of humor. Her readers and students appreciate that she does not write from theory alone. She writes as someone who has lived through difficult terrain and continues to look for honest, hopeful, and practical ways forward.
She is the author of Eating for Vibrant Health and Explosive Energy, The F-Word Diet, and My Daily Sparkle of Gratitude, and has contributed to several collaborative books, including Raising the Bar, BLU Talks, and Invisible No More – Invincible Forevermore. She has spoken on TEDx, BLU Talks, webinars, podcasts, and online video platforms.
Her current work centers around Recover Your Sparkle and the Mountain of Life framework: helping people understand their terrain with more honesty and less shame, recover the living part of themselves, and take the next true step.
Christine lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she writes, teaches, walks by the water, watches the stars, enjoys nature and family, and looks for small sparkles in ordinary days.
