I was born in Plymouth, Devon, England where the "Mayflower Steps", a short flight of stone stairs leading to the water's edge can still be seen. It was down these the Pilgrim fathers walked to take ship for America.
As well as working full time, I have always written - one act stage plays, radio plays and magazine articles before turning my hand to full length novels.
For the past twenty years or so, I have lived in a village in Western France where the biggest event in the last twelve of those years was the robbery of the local Tabac. Howling Westerly gales that flatten our forest are not regarded as anything special.
In April of 2025, I returned to my native Plymouth. Much has changed but the street where my grandmother sent me to run her errands is still there, near the park I played in with my cousins. I am in process of buying an apartment just around the corner.
So, all the years, Africa, The Middle east, France and I finally complete the circle and come back to Plymouth - which just goes to prove something but I don't know what.
I take the opportunity of thanking all my readers who have shown me such wonderful support. It is greatly appreciated.
