Simon Lawton

Simon is the author of "Imagine" and "Courage for the discouraged". He has pastored churches in Crewe, Newcastle, Birmingham and Banbury. He's been a Christian since early childhood, having been adopted into a Christian family at birth. His birth father being American and his birth mother English. His journey has been quite an interesting one and through all the highs and lows Simon has discovered how to really trust God.

Simon knows from his own experience that it's not always easy being a Christian and yet he also passionately believes that God wants us to really experience this life in all it's fullness and to enjoy the amazing unique adventure that He has placed us on. He has a passion for seeing people discover God for themselves and then find fulfilment by discovering their purpose and achieving extraordinary things through their faith in God.

Simon loves to write and his passion is to share from his own experiences and to help people to really understand, enjoy and maximise the spiritual journey they're on. He really wants to help you, if he can, by sharing what he's learned. He will often wear his heart on his sleeve and will always attempt to be as transparent as he can in his books and blogging.

Bio

Before entering ministry Simon had a successful retail career (having left school at 16). He also had short spells selling eggs, working on building sites and being a 'postie.' These have all added to who he is! Simon entered Bible College in 1992, gaining a degree in theology and Christian ministry and has been in full time ministry since successfully planting his first church in Crewe in 1995. He also served as the chaplain at Crewe Alex FC for nearly five years which was a great experience for a self confessed 'football nut!'

Simon is married to Julia and they have five children and five grandchildren! His main interests are travelling, sports, working out, park runs, movies writing and blogging.
