Mande Buckmaster

Writer, reader, thrill-seeker, gastronome, dog & baby mom. This Wyomingite was bitten by the travel bug at an early age. Writing her first book, a National Indie Excellence Awards double-finalist picture book called, “Your Greatest Adventure,” was a cathartic way of reflecting upon some of her crazier past adventures in preparation for a life-changing one: motherhood. Now she knows the two go hand in hand...like wearing scarves with sandals in California.

She is a long-standing a member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators) and has written for the San Diego Chapter’s newsletter, the Valley Roadrunner & Boulevard Magazine, and continues to write picture books for children.
