Alfons Staerk

Alfons is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in Executive and Senior leadership roles at top companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and Amazon. Alongside his corporate career, Alfons has studied and taught various martial arts for even longer. He realized early on that the principles from both worlds are connected, and all boil down to human dynamics and relationships.

As a parent, Alfons gained a new perspective on life and decided to move to Bozeman, MT, to follow his passion, realign his work with his core values, and achieve a better work-life balance. However, little did he know that he would face a new challenge as a global pandemic hit the day he took on his new role as Managing Director of Strategic IT with Montana State University. Alfons rose to the occasion, introducing new thoughts and tested strategies to support the University's goals.

Today, Alfons is a Senior Director at Boston Consulting Group, leading a global team. He shares his insights on balancing the various aspects of life, including health, family, and career, and excelling in all of them. Alfons is married to his wife, Uli, with whom he raises two energetic kids. He continues to explore the connections between martial arts and business to gain and share a deeper understanding of human dynamics.
