Danielle James writes creative nonfiction that merges with elements of poetry. She's a native New Yorker who grew up in Belgium before making her way back to Brooklyn. Her Jewish and Jamaican background lead to identity being a recurring theme in her work.
Danielle's writing has appeared or is forthcoming in We Rise to Resist: Voices from a New Era in Women s Political Action, the Oakland Arts Review, Labor Arts, Your Only Sister, The New Engagement, and more. She was a 2017 Voices of the Year honoree.
