J.K. Phillips

J. K. (Keith) Phillips was born an only child in rural western North Carolina and reared in the countryside of the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. As a child, he entertained himself drawing spaceships and airplanes and was a voracious reader. Born at the start of the space age, he fell in love with science and science fiction and as a high school senior, won the Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair with his design of a massive, self-sustaining spacecraft. While majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee, he also conducted research in the high energy physics lab of the Department of Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he worked at General Motors, where he received a Masters degree in Manufacturing Management, then pursued a management consulting career with clients that included ALCOA, Boeing, Chrysler, Corning, Exxon, Ford, Nissan, Xerox and the Air Force, Army, Defense Intelligence Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, Federal Aviation Administration and NASA.

In his science fiction novel "Eridani Resurrection," he combines his years of engineering, research and knowledge of classified government programs and into a story that is engaging, vivid and technically rich. When he is not writing, he can be found consulting, hiking the remote American west or exploring some exotic foreign locale.
