James Currie

Educated at Hamilton Academy, Scotland.

Served in the Royal Air Force, (RAF Little Sai Wan, Hong Kong) and City of Glasgow Police.

Became a journalist, specialising in motoring, in 1979.

Motoring Editor on the Evening Times (Glasgow) between 1984 and 2004, working on a freelance basis .

The Chester J Chadwick columns first made an appearance in the Scottish Daily Express and latterly in The Scotsman.

Past president and current Honorary Life Member of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers

On retiring from the mainstream press, published selected newspaper columns in the books which make up the Chadwick trilogy.

Currently working as an author and enjoying the delights of Argyll where traffic jams have become a distant memory.
