Micky O'Brady

Micky O’Brady is a pediatrician and multi-award-winning author living in Southern California. A second-degree black belt in both Krav Maga and Judo, she writes fast-paced fiction filled with action, romance, humor, and fierce heroines.

Her young adult novels include Playing with #Fire, winner of an Outstanding Creator Award, second-place winner in the Feathered Quill Book Awards, and finalist in the American Writing Awards; CRISPR—CRIS PARR, a 2025 Feathered Quill Award honoree; and Time Warped, which earned multiple honors at the 2025 Outstanding Creator Awards—including the entirely deserved title of “Hottest Character” for Captain Kieran Wildason.

With Rent-A-M.A.N., Micky has ventured into adult contemporary romance—proving that her heroines don’t necessarily become less troublesome once they grow up.

When she isn’t writing or working as a pediatrician, Micky can usually be found teaching Krav Maga, drinking Earl Grey at an unreasonable hour, or plotting what kind of trouble her next heroine is getting into.

Her books have been published by Snowy Wings Publishing and Crimson Fox Publishing.
