Seth Stannard Cottrell

Seth Cottrell was born in San Diego, moved around, and now lives in New York where he teaches math at CUNY. From an early age Seth has been the victim of his own curiosity which, after many detours, earned him a PhD in mathematics from NYU which he uses to understand physics.

For the last ten years he's talked with complete strangers about whatever they want to know about math and physics or whatever happens to come up and, when he knows the answer, has written about it on askamathematician.com.
