Darlene Barry

Hi everyone! I was born and raised in Newfoundland, but lived for 23 years in Ontario. I returned to Newfoundland in 2011. I have always written stories, and was always encouraged by those that read them to get them published. As any author will tell you it's not an easy task. In 2017 I joined a writers' group and it was one of the best things I have ever done.

The writer's group was lead by Best Selling Author Candace Osmond. Candace became my mentor through the journey of writing and self-publishing. In 2017 I published my first book The Story of Margaret and the follow up book Moonbeam. I could never have anticipated how everyone would fall in love with Margaret and her granddaughter Lacy. So, much so, there was a demand for another Lacy book. I'm happy to say that the third book in the series Love, Friendship & Loyalty is now available.

My cover designer, Cory Majeau of Majeau Designs brings my covers to life and I have to say he has outdone himself with the cover of Love, Friendship & Loyalty.

I'm working on a new book now that is a completely new genre for me. I'm nervous, scared and self doubting of the task but moving forward with it anyway. Candace, who I have now renamed M.B.A. (My Book Angel), is always ready with advice and support. As is my other mentor and Best Selling Author, Carolyn R. Parsons.

Both ladies have vastly different personalities but provide me with excellent advise and support all of which I'm so grateful for. I will keep you up to date on my adventure into this book.
