"Stranger In My Heart" is Mary Monro’s first book. Since publication she has connected with many families who had an ancestor who fought in the Far East in WW2 and encourages everyone to research their family history.
She is writing a novel about her great aunt, Dora Metcalf. Dora was a pioneer in the computing industry in the early 20th century and a director of the company that supplied the bombe machines to the Bletchley Park codebreakers in WW2. The novel is not yet published.
Mary practises as an Osteopath in Edinburgh treating humans and animals. She also teaches post-grad osteopaths and has contributed chapters to osteopathic books and articles to the osteopathic press, including peer reviewed journals. She was formerly a marketing consultant and began her career with Cadbury’s Confectionery. She is an experienced speaker and presenter.
