Andres E. Pedraza was born in Flushing, Queens, in New York, and is a first generation American. Both his parents are from Colombia, but actually met for the first time in New York City. Andres was raised in Queens, but has lived and worked in Colombia, his parents' native land, as well as in multiple places around the US. He currently lives in Pennsylvania.
He majored in Computer Science, and went on to have an illustrious career managing Information Technology operations for Fortune 500 companies. Among these, Nortel Networks, Computer Sciences Corporation, Baker & Taylor, NY Langone Medical Center, the New York Stock Exchange, EuroNext, Unisys, and Fannie Mae.
Exposed to trading and the markets at an early age thanks to his father's activities, then re-exposed while working at NYSE, EuroNext, and Fannie Mae, he took early retirement from salaried work to become a successful and profitable full time trader. He primarily focuses on the Foreign Exchange Market (Forex, for short), and both writes about it and coaches aspiring traders. His books are aimed at traders of all levels, even those absolutely new to trading.
Besides trading, he is also an avid student of Japanese culture and martial arts, and has traveled to Japan several times to immerse himself in its culture and learn directly at the source.
He enjoys writing and talking about trading, and can be easily contacted through his website, https://specialfxacademy.com/
