Christopher Ball

The Brain Sprain is the first foray into the literary world for Christopher and he has written on a subject he has lived with for many years: depression.

At a young age Christopher worked hard and played harder, and at only twenty-five years of age he started his own IT consultancy company that rapidly grew, but Christopher’s work ethic and his refusal to accept he could possibly be suffering with depression were to be his undoing. The stress of running his own company took its toll mentally and physically until Christopher finally accepted he was suffering from depression and had been for years. He started to make changes in his life to promote healing, and writing The Brain Sprain was part of that healing. The Brain Sprain was also written in an effort to change attitudes towards depression, and in the hope that by passing on the lessons Christopher has learned, others won’t make the same mistakes.

Christopher was born and raised in South Wales but now lives with his wife and young family in County Down, Northern Ireland. Academia and Christopher never really went hand in hand, but he somehow managed to go to university in Bristol (UK) to study mathematics, statistics and computing before dropping out early and starting his career in computing.
