Sandra Azofeifa

Sandra Azofeifa. Feminist, activist, writer and a poet. Born in Escazů, Costa Rica on January 27, 1950.

She has studied International Affairs at Universidad Autónoma de Centro América. Political Science at the Universidad de Costa Rica.

She has a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas where she has lived since the year 2000.

Her publications in Spanish are Las Memorias de una Tica en Las Vegas, Un Viaje en Escoba, Rincones, Rompiendo el Silencio, Los Heliotropos.

As a feminist and activist her publications are primarily about women’s issues although she has also written about themes like culture and traditions in her collection of poems and short stories.

Her main objective is to contribute to a better world with justice and peace for everyone no matter the gender, the race, or class.
