Mark Marchand

Mark A. Marchand is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a former adjunct professor in the Journalism Program at the University at Albany, SUNY, teaching from 2008 to 2022. He is a former daily newspaper journalist (Springfield, Mass.) and worked for about 25 years as a senior manager in corporate communications at Verizon. In addition to publishing freelance science articles and opinion pieces in daily newspapers, he blogs frequently on science, travel, history, and sports.
