Nora M. Isacoff, PhD, is a cognitive psychologist whose research interests and writing encompass cognitive science questions from both a basic perspective and as they translate to education. She earned her BA in linguistics from University College London; her MS and PhD in cognitive psychology from Rutgers University with additional graduate certificates in perceptual science and cognitive science; and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in teaching and learning at New York University.
Nora works as a learning specialist and academic manager in her private practice Bedrock Tutoring (www.bedrocktutoring.com), focusing on students with language, executive functioning, and emotional challenges, and she also teaches psychology and cognitive science at the college level as well as Judaic studies at the elementary school level. Outside of these lines of work, Nora spends much of her time singing as well as enjoying Prospect Park with her dog, Sophie.
