“The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it…”
– George Carlin
Chris Krenisky is a part-time writer who was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He dropped out of the University of Connecticut in his junior year and began a varied and eclectic working life, which has included selling women’s fragrance to managing a cell phone store. For the past several years, Chris has been working vigorously on building Sheeply Farm based in Union, South Carolina, where he currently resides.
Chris has always loved writing and storytelling and this passion has developed into a full-on hobby. He is currently concentrating on a series of children's books called The Chris Sheeply Adventures and as an aside to this has founded Sheeply Publishing LLC, where he promotes his children’s books, poetry and comics.
When he has some time to himself Chris likes doing projects around the farm, building computers, going to the gym and playing a wide variety of games. He reads widely and enjoys researching topics that interest him. He also loves getting into the great outdoors when the weather is good, visiting new places and hiking in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Chris has always understood that education is vital for growth and development, but that life experiences far outweigh any formal schooling. He has a keen interest in philosophy and adheres to several core principles such as the non-aggression principle, self ownership and governance, individual responsibility and the golden rule.
Chris would describe himself as an anarchist, by the etymological definition of the word from the Greek prefix an-: “without; the absence of” and the Greek noun archon: “master; ruler,” meaning no rulers or masters and that society should exist in a voluntary capacity between individuals without a ruling class or authority dictating how they interact with each other. He hopes to one day create one of the coolest properties and places to visit in South Carolina, integrating the Chris Sheeply characters and books with several aspects of the farm operations.
