David Danon was born in Pasadena, California the middle of the 20th century. As it was for many during that time, he was unknowingly recruited as a participant in the social upheaval of the 1960’s. The outcome of this was a deep questioning of authority and the status quo.
He traveled extensively, sailed around the world, and has pursued many sports and physical activities. He is a licensed pilot, plays music, has built motorcycles, and has done woodworking, leatherwork, and painting, among other creative pursuits. He co-founded a clothing company, and worked in the Film and Television industry for 20 years.
He was exposed to yoga at a young age by his mother. He began practicing yoga asana and meditation as an adult over 40 years ago, long before it was the broadly accepted culture that exists today. He began teaching yoga in 1997. This is, and has been the foundation of his approach and view of the world for most of his adult life.
After a cancer diagnosis in 2012 he embarked on a journey of research and experimentation into the world of traditional and alternative treatments of cancer and other chronic disease. In his own words, “I know way more about cancer and the system that treats it than I ever wanted to know.”
