Laura Bernstein-Machlay

Laura Bernstein-Machlay is an award-winning writer who teaches literature and creative writing at The College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI where she also lives. Her poetry and creative nonfiction have appeared in numerous journals and magazines. Her full-length collection of creative-nonfiction essays, Travelers, was published on May 1st of 2018 from Sonder Press.

Laura passionately loves her husband and kid, her dog and cat (though the cat is slightly evil). She mostly loves her home city, Detroit, but no one else is allowed to say a bad word about it!
