Rona Halsall

Rona is the best selling author of gripping and twisty psychological thrillers. She lives halfway up a mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales with her writing support team - Maid, Evie and Sandy, her rescue dogs.

Her storylines are often set in places that she knows, having lived in the area. Favourite settings are North Wales, and Yorkshire, which appear in many of her books.

Social media and news stories often provide the spark of an idea and that's why she spends so much time doomscrolling - it's work not procrastination... Once the seed of an idea is rooted in her brain, long walks with her dogs allows the ideas to grow into devious storylines. It's a magical process and it's always surprising and exciting to witness the evolution from a rough idea to a finished book.

Her biggest writing achievement might be having THE BIGAMIST short-listed in the US for the International Thriller Writers Awards 2024, and the translation being shortlisted for an award in Holland. This book has now been translated into seven foreign languages.
