Maggie Hansen

Maggie Hansen always found ancient and traditional medicines fascinating. As a child, whenever she had a stomach ache, her mother would always brew her some ginger tea. While she didn’t know why it worked, she knew she could rely on the spicy-sweet, comforting drink to soothe her pain.

When she got older and began thinking about what to study in school, massage therapy kept coming up. Maggie understood the power of the body-mind connection, and massage fit right into her desire to heal people. In her educational journey, she began learning about acupuncture and cupping. What seemed a little strange and almost like magic started to make biological and anatomical sense as she learned about acupuncture, cupping, and Chinese herbal medicine, and the studies that support the ancient treatments. Maggie’s work as a masseuse lets her incorporate dry cupping, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and herbs into her patients’ treatment plans.

In her free time, Maggie loves running and is training for a marathon, though she also enjoys just lounging around with her cat and watching mystery movies. She wants to continue pursuing her education in therapy and one day open her own clinic. Maggie’s dream is to create an oasis for people seeking healing both inside and out.
