Carol Kasper

Carol Kasper was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and grew up with her four sisters in a one bathroom house in the swinging 60's and rocking 70's. You had to watch your favorite show when it was on or you'd miss it, your only phone was rotary dial with a 10 foot cord and people actually came over to visit and talk with one another.

Once she graduated from East Longmeadow High School she headed to Fitchburg State College to get her BSN in Nursing. The crazy 80's found her with big hair and shoulder pads and working at a hospital with adults, getting married and starting a family. She did not have time for MTV in the 90's as she had moved to Pittsburgh and she and her husband were raising their two boys. A move back to Western Massachusetts and her home town also brought along a daughter and a change to pediatric nursing.

Carol found that taking care of children at home and at work was what brought her joy, and when an opportunity came to try School Nursing, she went for it. It proved the perfect job to allow time to parent and enjoy a career. The extra bonus was the funny things the children at school, ages 3-7, would come out with almost daily. She began relating these anecdotes to family and friends and they would say "You should write a book!" After years of writing these comments in a journal, and then retiring in 2016, she finally put together "I Have Cheese Doodles Up My Nose!" The end goal is to bring a smile or laugh to each deserving reader.

Carol Kasper enjoys traveling the globe and photographing it. She still lives in the town where she grew up and is happy volunteering with children.
