Abhinav Vats

Abhinav Vats is a multifaceted artist, author, and activist. Born in India, he has lived in several countries and now resides in Oregon. As a child, he traveled extensively with his father, a revered Indian army Colonel. Abhinav identifies as a world citizen, embracing diverse cultures.

A pioneering LGBTQ+ advocate, Abhinav was India's first openly gay model/actor in the 1990s. He has acted in a couple of films and TV shows, and has a diverse range of creative pursuits. Abhinav is also a photographer, mixed-media artist, and author of several books, including children's stories and art books.

Deeply committed to giving back, Abhinav has conducted numerous art workshops for free in charity schools and orphanages. He also founded and ran a small school for underprivileged children from the slums of Gurugram, India, before relocating. Additionally, Abhinav has led art and meditation workshops, as well as training sessions, for children, teachers, and seniors in India, Canada, and the USA.

Abhinav holds three Master's degrees in Social Work, Design Practice, and Early Childhood Education. His art has been showcased in exhibitions and received critical acclaim.
