Charly Lester

Charly Lester is the founder of Rebel Badge Club - a worldwide club to help adult make the most of their spare time. In addition to writing Rebel Badge Book Volumes One and Two, and the accompanying Rebel Badge Journals, Charly runs a free Facebook group - called Rebel Badge Club - for customers of the Rebel Badge Store to share their progress earning the badges. (Please go to the Rebel Store for further details, as badge books sold on Amazon are not sold by Charly or RBC) There are additional monthly badges and silly challenges, and the group is designed as a safe, friendly space to share badge work, get inspiration, and keep up to date on Rebel Badge Club. The community also includes additional groups, including a Spoonie Rebel group, created and run by disabled and neurodiverse Rebels, where they discuss medical adaptations to badges. There is a book club called the Rebel Readers, a craft material swapping group, and Rebels are encouraged to set up 'local Rebellions' where they can meet other Rebels in real life.

Since 2021, Rebel Badge Club has grown in size (with over 25,000 people around the world owning a copy of Volume One). As a result, the Club has evolved from simply one book with 52 fabric badges, to an international movement with three books, over 200 badges, real life meet ups, groups around the world, monthly challenges, patrol games, a Summer Camp, live game days, residenatial events, a Patrol Cup, an annual Adventure and much more. There is also now a set of longer form awards, called the Maverick Awards, which are designed to take between six and eighteen months.
