I have a rather diverse spectrum of interest ranging from photography to writing original poetry, children's books, and short stories. I am also a meteorologist and serve as a weather instructor for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. I have been told that interest in both science and the arts is not a common trait. However, living in northern Michigan surrounded on all sides by the fresh water of the Great Lakes and its landscape, can't help but to inspire the creative side of me.

I consider myself an "author in training", knowing that my writings will improve with time and experience. My favorite work to date, "Landscape's Whisper", is a book of original poetry based on the Michigan experience.
