Leigh has always loved writing and in the early 1980's, inspired by her cats and a cat-proof fence she and her husband built around their backyard, she had an article published in Cat Fancy magazine.
She didn't entertain the thought of writing a novel until over twenty five years later. After toying with the idea she wasn't able to resist the urge to see where her writing would take her, so she let the ideas that lived in her head grow and grow until they took the form of a full length novel. After that came four more. These were just for fun - to practice and learn and to share with friends and fellow writers who accepted her tales enthusiastically.
Leigh then decided to write a novel with the intention of stepping into the publishing world and that's when "The Power of Two" took shape. Her favorite thing about writing are the characters she creates who become like friends. She's never lonesome when she has a manuscript in the works because it's like spending time with friends who are never too busy to spare her their time.
Her other special friends are her cats. They love no matter what and there's something comforting about an animal that looks at you like you're the best thing in the whole world. Besides writing and spending time with them, Leigh enjoys going to the gym, taking long walks, and rollerblading, which is a good thing because her other favorite activity is baking desserts.
