T.D. Elkins

T.D. Elkins was born Tonya Dawn Parham in Elberton, Georgia on July2,1970.

Growing up in Savannah, Georgia she attended Pathway Day School being extremely involved in, and having a passion for music, arts, and creative writing. Tonya grew up competing in local and State competitions, and then in 2002 she dove into Christian songwriting, as well as performing her own songs along with songs written by J.C. Parham, and Long time friend and associate Lisa Davis. Tonya's first CD "Soul Of Me" was released in 2002. Her music launched her into full time ministry reaching out to others in song and action, getting a small taste for the time and commitment that would come with even small success. Realizing she was not prepared for the spiritual or physical responsibility, she put her career on hold in order to raise her children who were her first priority. After a long break and many changing seasons in her life, Tonya has decided to dive back into her passion of writing. She states that it was her strong faith in God, and her relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ that brought her through the storms of this life, setting her feet back on solid ground with new purpose. Recently having published her new book, Now is the Time, Now is The Season, Tonya is quoted as saying, "I truly believe that one simple act of love can change the course of someone's life FOREVER. I love people, because I understand through my relationship with Jesus how very special and unique every living soul is, no matter the condition that they may be found in when we cross paths. There is always hope! TRUE LOVE CHANGES THINGS, and this is exactly what I want to convey through my writings. I want to share some of my life changing experiences, and what I learned along the way. It is easy for me to love everyone exactly where they are, because I know what it is like to be lost, afraid, and needing help. Not to mention, this is what My Father instructs me to do as His child. We are to show the same mercy and compassion that He has shown us."
