Marian Webb Betts

Marian Webb Betts was born in Sudan, Africa, to British pioneer missionaries, where she spent her childhood surrounded by tribal cultures, wildlife, and stories. Raised among many languages and traditions, she developed an early love of history, storytelling, and the mysteries of lives lived across generations.

The seeds of The Ruby Heart Legend were planted in childhood through a favorite Christmas story told by her father about the young son of one of the Wise Men who secretly joined the journey to find the child who would change the world forever. Years later, that story unexpectedly returned, first unfolding as a Christmas musical and eventually growing into a historical saga stretching across centuries, cultures, hidden histories, and lives mysteriously connected through time.

In addition to writing, Marian creates maps, illustrations, and designs that accompany her stories. She lives in Indiana, where she continues to discover the unfolding journey of The Ruby Heart Legend.
