SHAYNA TELESMANIC

Shayna Telesmanic, is a mom of two, a North Carolina native that now resides in California’s Central Valley. She has spent the last decade running a cooking school for kids and teaching children and families how to fall in love with cooking healthy meals.

From weekly classes, workshops, educational programs, and private events, Chef Shayna has established herself as the go-to cooking authority in California’s Central Valley. Her weekly segment on Fresno’s ABC 30 and other news station appearances has helped her share her passion for getting kids involved in the kitchen, building their excitement around meals and encouraging them to try and enjoy new foods.

With classes and workshops for children as well as adults, Shayna aims to simplify cooking for families and take the fear and mystery out of the kitchen.

Over the last 5 years, Shayna has developed a new workshop aimed at gathering people together in the kitchen, called Supper Club.

“In teaching children for several years, I realized that many of the moms bringing kids to my classes also wanted to learn how to cook, or at the very least, needed tips for getting dinner on the table,” she says. “After giving birth to my oldest daughter, I found that motherhood could be very lonely - that we often do the same task over and over and it can be exhausting, mundane, and unfulfilling. I see Supper Club as a way to create community, bring women together to chat, commiserate, and laugh, all while getting a very crucial part of life done - putting dinner on the table.”

Supper Club is an ongoing workshop where local women are invited to create make-ahead freezer meals for their families. With each meal being gluten and dairy free, focusing on protein, produce, and spices, club attendees walk away with ten meals and a whole lot of heart.

This culinary passion comes from her study of food around the world, a childhood spent in her mother’s Italian restaurant, and her own desire to feed her family well.
