Adrian Allan

Born in 1971. Adrian Allan made rapid progress on the guitar and studied with some of the leading players based in the UK. In 1995 he passed a performance diploma in the classical guitar.

He also has a degree in history from Lancaster University. He was a masters in history from The University of the Highlands and Islands with distinction for his work on the crofters' rebellion on the Isle of Skye.

He has written two books of arrangements for guitar and voice of the songs of Robert Burns.

He has written three books of arrangements of folk songs for two guitars, to fill a gap in the repertoire for duets for students and teachers and has written a number of original compositions for piano, strings, full orchestra and other ensembles.

Adrian Allan is one of the world's foremost authorities on the post-Beatles career of Paul McCartney,

He currently teaches teenagers in Manchester who struggle to access mainstream schools.

Adrian Allan was made a Fellow of the London College of Music in 2025.
