I created the picture book PUG as a humorous way of presenting thought-changing moments that would appeal to all ages. My aim was to leave a smile on everyone's face, while contemplating, just for a moment, navigating the challenges of daily life.
During the course of creating PUG: HOW TO BE THE BEST YOU, I was diagnosed with cancer. Now cancer free, the experience served to remind me what is important during our time on earth….one of them striving to be the best we can be, in any moment, no matter the situation.
I have had a multi-faceted career journey as a clinical psychologist, graphic artist, corporate consultant/trainer, business executive and owning a wholesale gift company in USA. I have always painted pictures, but underpinning my career path has been a lifelong fascination with human behavior, the mind and what makes people tick. Through formal and informal study I have explored the fields of psychology, eastern/western philosophy and thought, and as it is known today, well-being. I have happily discovered that PUG makes a wonderful teaching aide in the nurturing of well-being, whether it be in the classroom, training workshops or in the home. And of course, PUG is also a fun gift for others or you!
I currently reside in my native Australia and am also a citizen of USA where I lived and worked for many years.
