Peter Kaufman has been an educator for over twenty years. He is Professor of Sociology at the State University of New York New Paltz where he teaches courses on introduction to sociology, education and society, social interaction, and sociological theory. He has been a regular member of the editorial board of Teaching Sociology and is a recipient of the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He lives in New Paltz, New York with his wife and their greyhound Billy.
