I am powered by espresso, inspired by selfless acts of love, and motivated by the voices in my head telling me I am a writer.

I began as a screenwriter. I had a feature film and a TV movie optioned and even won a few awards. After coming oh so close to having a few screenplays produced (but no cigar), I switched to fiction writing. I fell in love with writing stories for young adults, mainly because coming of age is so deliciously fraught, but also because my psyche is stuck in about 1977. (Yes, I was a teenager a very long time ago).
