When I’m not writing, I’m reading. On average I read 60 books a year. Mostly sci-fi and fantasy, but also the classics, thrillers, mysteries, non-fiction, horror, westerns, the backs of cereal boxes…I like words. I like words woven into stories the best. Words are important! Words are how we describe the world around us, how we interact with others, how we remember history, and how we celebrate living. We tend to think in words, and words have lasting effects on our character, our morals, our behavior, our outlook on life itself. We should all be careful with words, they have power to wound, to heal, to comfort, to bring tears of sadness or joy. I also love to travel, and what I like best about words is that when woven into stories, words take us to places as varied and interesting as our dreams.
