Michelle’s passion is to help people find their story in God’s Word and bringing God’s Word into conversation with the everyday nature of our lives. The love and grace of Jesus Christ are not merely tenets of faith or beliefs we confess. With joy and energy, we are called to follow Jesus into the world as we bear these truths to all people.
Michelle served as pastor to Heritage Presbyterian Church, a "traditional" worshiping community that lives untraditionally from 2015-2024. Faced with shrinking membership, aging, and other factors, Heritage called Michelle to lead the congregation through a time of discernment and change. "Losing Your Life to Find It: New Life for the Aging Church" is their story.
Michelle graduated with academic distinction from McCormick Theological Seminary. She is a second-career pastor, having worked as a CPA for Deloitte and Touche for 14 years. Michelle and her husband Dave, have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law. Michelle and Dave currently live in San Diego, California, where Michelle serves as interim pastor to Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church.
