Kat Holmes

Designer Kat Holmes is a technologist, entrepreneur, and leading expert in inclusive design. During her tenure as the Director of Inclusive Design at Microsoft, she led the development of Inclusive: A Microsoft Design Toolkit, which Fast Company described as a “radical evolution of design practices”. The toolkit was inducted into the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum. In 2017, Holmes was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. Today, as author of Mismatch and founder of mismatch.design, Holmes works with multidisciplinary leaders to set a foundation for why designing with excluded communities drives better solutions for everyone.
