Randy Deming

Randy Deming spent 10 years working as a missionary in Honduras, 10 years teaching and coaching and 16 years working as a federal program consultant for Region 14 Education Service Center.

He built a house with his dad in 1969 when he was 15 years old. He would build another house with his dad 48 years later. The work with dad was pure joy but at the time it seemed like pure misery.

Randy's best decision was to become a follower of Jesus and worship with the church at Minter Lane in Abilene, Texas where he currently serves on the mission committee.

He is married to Jeanne, a retired teacher. They have 5 children, 3 grandchildren, some dogs, chickens and fish.

Randy's first book entitled: "Normal Healthy People Don't Do Much" is a collection of writings and meditations that describe his spiritual journey. He says he wasted a lot of time and effort trying to be normal. He has come to embrace his oddities, weaknesses, and failures as gifts that can be used by God to help others.
