In 1971, Ruby surrendered a child to adoption after spending five months at a home for unwed mothers. Twenty-three years later she was reunited with her daughter and met her granddaughter for the first time. She is currently collecting other reunion stories for her next book.
For the past many years, Ruby has been researching and writing on the topic of adoption, focusing on the ever-changing relationships and feelings in the adoption triangle.
Ruby Lee Cornelius is a mother, grandmother and business owner. She is a lifetime musician and singer, and is recently dappling in the art of songwriting. Raised in a Wisconsin working-class family, she currently resides in the Pacific Northwest.
