J. A. Davids

J. A. Davids, B.S.E., M.I.D., is a design researcher who earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University School of Engineering. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Davids was exposed to Silicon Valley culture from a young age. Davids earned a Master's degree from Rhode Island School of Design by investigating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workplace culture. The master’s thesis, “Power Tools: Designing a Positive Change in STEM Workplace Dynamics,” proposed solutions to resolve the tech industry’s gender imbalance. “Don’t Tell Dick Jokes at Work (and Other Helpful Tips)” expands this master’s thesis research and delivers it in a format meant for a wider audience.
