Dr. Michael Mickey Lauer

Michael "Mickey" Lauer is a software architect based in Germany's Rhine-Main region. He's been programming for more than forty years, working professionally at the intersection of vehicle diagnostics, embedded systems, and Apple platform software.

As an author, he has published several technical books and articles on programming languages, graphical user interfaces, embedded Linux, and mobile distributed systems. He earned his doctorate at the Institute of Computer Science, Goethe University Frankfurt.

In his fantastical short stories, technical precision and dry humor meet people whose carefully ordered reality suddenly gives way. He's less interested in saving the world than in the personal decisions nobody else can make afterward.
