Karin Brauner

The Beckoning Rooms (fiction) and 20 Self Care Habits (second edition, nonfiction) have been written from Karin's life experiences.

In The Beckoning Rooms, Karin takes you on a journey through her protagonists' exploration of their past in a very particular way. They wake up somewhere strange. Will they figure their way out of the beckoning rooms? Find out in her novel.

20 Self-Care Habits is a practical guide to meeting your needs and setting clear boundaries. Karin realised in her own life that it is important to implement these habits in order to improve her life and relationships. Through these habits, she's helped her clients grow as individuals, but also in all aspects of their lives.

Karin was born in Guatemala, where she lived the first 25 years of her life. She obtained her German Nationality in 2003 and took this as an opportunity to explore new areas of her life and the world. She emigrated to the South of England, where she's lived in various towns, finally settling in Brighton and Hove in 2010.

Karin completed her PgDip in Counselling (2011), gaining valuable experience in the mental health, self-care, and other areas of her professional life. She started her Private Practice in 2013, carrying on with a part-time support role within the Council. She is now full-time self-employed and is supporting her clients with coaching, content creation, and more (check out her website at karinbrauneronline.co.uk)

In August 2017, Karin decided to start a blog, which gave her the idea for her first book - 20 Self-Care Habits, which has allowed her to get to know many other professionals in the counselling and self-care professions.

Karin is now also a British Citizen, after 15 years of living in the UK, where she lives with her husband.
