E.J. Perez

Born in Los Angeles in 1962, I grew up with a flashlight under the covers and a stack of books I couldn’t put down; I’m looking at you, Mr. King. Ha! Reading wasn’t just a pastime; it was a doorway. And somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just want to walk through stories...I wanted to build them.

My love for storytelling evolved through comic books and the colorful worlds of superheroes. I even owned a comic shop once, just to be closer to the art and the characters that inspired me. But no matter how many comics I sold, the stories in my own head refused to stay silent. They grew louder with every what if; the question that haunts every writer.

After years of dreaming, collecting, and day-imagining, I finally gave in to that creative pull. These stories are the result...over fifty years in the making.

E.J. Perez lives with his family in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Most days, you’ll find him tucked away in a coffee shop, scribbling notes in a well-worn notebook, or in his garage-turned-study, what he proudly calls The Writer’s Cave; typing away with a glass of wine as his creative equalizer.
