Kat Copeland

From an outsider’s perspective, Kat Copeland is an average thirty-something, married, mother of three from Kentucky. Five if you count the dogs. When Kat isn’t tending to the needs of her family she writes poetry.

Kat began writing poetry as a therapeutic outlet. With the encouragement of friends and family she wrote her first book. “A Poetic Journey” is a brutally honest compilation of the struggles and successes she has endured as a wife and mother over the last decade.

Kat’s second book “Tales of Trauma to Triumph” much like her first book is also an honest glimpse into her life, as a survivor of extreme child abuse.

Despite all that Kat has faced in life she tries to maintain her infectious optimism. She chooses to see the beauty of a flower, even if it is a weed. She is selfless, loving, warm-hearted, and kind. She is a protector and nurturer to those she loves, especially her children. She is the most gentle soul you will ever meet.

Kat dreams of a life-long career in children's literature. Her first children's book "Kali Kat's Dreamland" became available for purchase in March, 2019 and is an exciting milestone in her developing career.
