Mark Ward Sr.

Mark Ward Sr. (PhD, Clemson University) is Professor of Communication at Texas A&M University-Victoria, Texas, USA. He has authored, coauthored, and edited eight books including his latest releases "Inside Evangelicalism: The Culture of Conservative White Christianity" and "God Talk: The Problem of Divine-Human Communication." His research on American evangelical culture and popular media has been published in more than 40 scholarly articles and essays. He is a winner of the Clifford G. Christians Ethics Research Award for "The Electronic Church in the Digital Age" and of the David R. Maines Narrative Research Award, Digital Religion Research Award, and multiple awards from the Religious Communication Association including Scholar of the Year and Edited Book of the Year. He has received his institution's highest honors for scholarship and for service.
