Rakesh Wahi is a serial entrepreneur who has distinguished himself in the fields of IT, media, telecommunications, technology and education in the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He is chairman of CMA Investment Holdings, which has representation through its portfolio companies in over 22 countries. Rakesh is the co-founder of the ABN Group that includes CNBC Africa, Forbes Africa, ABN Digital, ABN Training Institute, ABN Productions, ABN Pictures and ABN Education Trust. He is also the co-founder of Trans National Education, Lancaster University Ghana, Global Institute Middle East and Tech One Global. His core focus is on long-term corporate and leadership development through building strong management teams. Rakesh was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal by the president of India in 1986 for distinguished services to the country in peacetime, and was part of India’s 7th Scientific Expedition to Antarctica in 1987/88. In 2013, he successfully led a team of 15 members from his company to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. A keen golfer, Rakesh is married with two children and resides in Dubai.
