Phil Ferrazano

Phil Ferrazano was born on Long Island in 1950. He grew up on the west coast of Florida where he still lives today.

He was drafted into the Army in 1969. He served in the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam and was wounded in action during the invasion of Cambodia in 1970.

His first book, Facing the Wall: An Infantryman's Post-Vietnam Memoir, tells the story of his service and his struggles with the VA.

Phil writes, sings and has recorded songs which are available on his own CD honoring veterans. One of his songs is on the box set Next Stop is Vietnam, with Bear Family Records.

For his service, Phil was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for Valor. He has been profiled in numerous articles, including a feature story in Vietnam Magazine.
