Dr Peter T Scott

Dr. Peter Scott is an award-winning teacher of over 44 years experience. Apart from his Teachers' Training, he has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geology, an M.Ed. Admin. and an Ed.D. in Education. He retired at the end of 2008 as a 'Teacher of the Year' and took to world travelling and writing. He has had published over twenty books on the Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Survival as well as five works of fiction so far with several more in the pipeline. A former Army Reserve Officer and Naval Cadet Officer/Instructor he has had several training cruises on 'Tall Ships' and has visited many of the world's great wildernesses including Antarctica, the Amazon Basin, the Andes and the Rocky Mountains as well as Asia, North Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific and Europe. When at home, he lives in Brisbane with his wife and two adult sons and their families. His writings as 'Peter T. Scott' and "Hernán Moreno Ruiz' reflect his interests in life and his style is both readable, always informative (especially his 'Adventures in Earth Science' series), humorous (the 'Tom Shipley' novels) and exciting (the novels of San Rafael and also the Ice Ship).
